We know times are tough. With Oregon SNAP benefits expected to be unavailable for November due to the federal shutdown, our community is coming together to make sure families have access to food, support, and essential resources.

Brosi’s Sugartree Farms – Free Community Meal

What they offer: Free community meal featuring all-beef hot dogs, baked beans, apples, pears, and juice.
When: Saturday, November 8, 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM
Who’s eligible: Open to anyone in the community in need of a meal or extra support.

Myrtle Creek Community Feed

What they offer: Free community dinner featuring homemade, locally grown soup and bread. 🍲
When: Wednesday, November 6 – Dinner starts at 5:00 PM
Where: Myrtle Creek Community Center, Myrtle Creek, OR
Who’s eligible: Open to everyone—families and individuals in need of a hot, home-cooked meal or a sense of community connection.
Cost: Free
How to help: Donations for the Myrtle Creek Food Bank will be collected during the event.

B Sweet Treats – Free Thanksgiving Dinner

What they offer: Complimentary Thanksgiving dinner for individuals and families with an active SNAP card. 🦃
When: Sunday, November 23, 2025
Who’s eligible: Anyone with a valid Oregon SNAP/EBT card (bring card for verification).
Cost: Free (with SNAP card)
How to access: Visit in person on the day of the event; no pre-registration required.

NeighborWorks Umpqua – Emergency Food Support Partnership

What they offer: Connects families to emergency food resources across rural Oregon through partnerships with local providers like The FISH of Roseburg.
Who’s eligible: Any household in need of short-term or emergency food assistance.

The FISH of Roseburg – DoorDash Emergency Food Delivery

What they offer: One-time emergency food box delivery for households unable to travel to a food pantry.
Who’s eligible: House-bound, injured, elderly, or without transportation.
Includes: One 20-lb bag of non-perishable food (no refrigerated or frozen foods).
How it works: Call 541-672-5242 and leave a message. FISH staff will coordinate free delivery via DoorDash.

Notes: No perishable foods delivered (no milk, eggs, cheese, produce, or meat). Families able to travel are encouraged to visit the pantry for more variety.


👶 Family & Early Childhood Support

Community UPLiFT – South Central Early Learning Hub (Douglas ESD)

What they offer: Connects families to local supports such as housing, utilities, early education, and parenting resources.
Who’s eligible: Expecting parents, families with children ages 0–5, or families with children up to 21 who have a disability.

Family Development Center (FDC) – Roseburg

What they offer: Free and low-cost programs supporting family well-being and early childhood development, including parenting classes, home visits, and the Relief Nursery.
Programs include: Parenting education, Healthy Families home visits, therapeutic preschool, and family workshops.
Who’s eligible: Families with young children (prenatal to age 6), especially those facing stress or financial hardship.

NeighborWorks Umpqua – Housing & Financial Stability Programs

What they offer: Emergency rent and utility help, homeowner support, financial education, and affordable housing programs.
